Repeat Prescriptions Ordering

If your condition(s) is/are satisfactory, you are advised to register with your chemist for CMS. This will allow your GP to make a master prescription copy which allows the chemist to dispense your medication for the coming year. See CMS (Chronic Medication Service) tab.

Certain medications are unsuitable for CMS. To order them you:

  1. Register for On-Line Patient Services / Prescriptions, by contacting the Health Centre.  You will then receive a registration code with which you can log onto your own repeat medication list.
  2. If for any reason you cannot register for On-Line Patient Services, you can hand in your re-order slip, with the items clearly marked, into the Health Centre or the Pharmacy of your choice.

PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS CAN NOT BE ACCEPTED OVER THE TELEPHONE

The following information is essential to process your prescription efficiently:

  • Name and date of birth
  • Items you request
  • To which pharmacy the prescription should be sent.

Within 48 hours (excluding weekends and bank/local holidays) your prescription will be ready at the Health Centre. We will then forward your prescription to your preferred Pharmacy. Please leave time for the Pharmacy to dispense your medication.
