Patients looking for travel advice should find their requirements online or by phoning the numbers below. The websites and phone numbers stated are only suggestions; other providers are available. Any non-NHS prescriptions required should be requested from these providers and not from the health centre. You will be charged by the providers for their services.

Only the following vaccines are available on the NHS:

 

Hepatitis A: 2 vaccines 6 mth-1 year apart gives protection for 25 years

(if in doubt :   antigen titres can be checked)

Typhoid: gives protection for 3 years

Diphtheria /Tetanus/ Polio: gives protection for 10 years

 

Please request a prescription from the health centre for the above NHS vaccinations if they are required. If you are not sure when you last had them, contact the health centre to request a printout of your immunisations.

 

If needed, the Doctor will produce a prescription, and this will be sent to Edzell Chemist, who will deliver the vaccine to the Health Centre.

After delivery, the receptionist will inform the patient that the vaccine is available and give the patient an appointment at the end of the surgery.
