Covid-19 Vaccination Record
Covid-19 vaccination status scheme launches to provide confirmation of vaccination when required for foreign travel and other places where this is necessary. You can get your vaccination record in the following ways;
Covid-19 Vaccine boosters
Covid-19 vaccination boosters will not be offered in GP practices.
They will take place in community vaccination centres across Tayside and Grampian.
Edzell Health Centre does not have any information of when or where this will be for each patient so please avoid calling the health centre for this reason
Covid-19 Testing information
Testing for covid19 is now easily accessible to everyone, with or without symptoms.
The 2 types of coronavirus test currently being used regularly are:
- polymerase chain reaction (PCR)
- lateral flow device (LFD) – also known as a rapid test
PCR tests
If you have symptoms, book a PCR test.
You should also book a PCR test if:
- you’ve been asked to get a test by a health protection team
- you’ve been asked to get a test to confirm a positive result
- you’ve been identified as a close contact through Test and Protect or the Protect Scotland app
LFD tests – also known as rapid tests
LFD tests are rapid tests you can do yourself. You should only use this type of test if you do not have coronavirus symptoms.
LFD tests:
- are simple to use
- give a result in 30 minutes
- help find positive cases in people who are infectious but don’t have symptoms
To Get Tested
To access a tests please click, NHS Inform page, you should not contact your GP to request these.
Please see the current test sites for PCR testing below. It is essential that you book a time slot, unless attending a mobile unit, through NHS Inform before attending the test sites.
Testing for Covid-19 is available across Tayside. You do not have to book for the mobile testing units however, to make the process quicker, you can book in advance and pre register your details by phoning 119.
